#BellaVA TweetUp at Bella Gelateria

Two days ago, I attended my first tweetup. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve been trying to get active in the Vancouver community and have chatting with people that I had never met in real life.

It was pretty cool meeting people I’ve chatted with in real life, but at times, I felt a bit stalkerish at times. No one looked like their avatars. I kept walking around staring at people’s twitter names instead. Faces were doing nothing for me.

I met a lot of new people too which was great. The shop was pretty small and soon the place was packed. It was pretty hard to get around, but the turnout was great.

In all the excitement, I forgot to take photos and I don’t have any of my ice cream. I got some hazelnut and it was sure delicious. Very strong hazelnut flavour. I would definitely come back here in the summer time and pick up some gelato before strolling along the water.

It was definitely a great evening. We raised over $100 and 60lbs of food for the Vancouver Food Bank. Can’t wait till the next tweetup!
